Front Counter Customer Service (Retail and Repair)

Single Cylinder Repair, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional full time Front Counter Customer Service Associate to assist us in providing the best outdoor power equipment retail and repair services to our community. About the Job You will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for assisting them with both sales transactions of outdoor power equipment products as well as processing equipment repair orders. You will assist in handling payments, check-in and check-out processes, service order status updates, and other administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities Work the front counter, greeting and assisting customers with merchandise or repair inquiries Enter and retrieve repair orders into our system Coordinate with leadership and mechanics to ensure excellent service and communication with our customers concerning their repair orders Execute retail transactions smoothly and accurately Locating and retrieving parts and equipment from our warehouse and repair shop Assist in other store/warehouse tasks as needed Qualifications Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Able and willing to learn the ins and outs of various types of power equipment in order to better serve our customers Excellent English proficiency required, Spanish and/or Vietnamese fluency is a plus Good computer, data entry and data organization ability High School diploma or greater High level of attention to detail and meticulousness to properly identify parts and products with different variations Must be a self-starter and diligently perform duties without constant supervision Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to stoop, squat, and kneel, and lift/carry up to 50lbs About Us Single Cylinder Repair is a small, family owned business based in El Cerrito, CA that has been serving the Bay Area community for over 25 years.
