Job Description

Encinitas Animal Hospital is a privately owned, award-winning veterinary hospital providing personalized medical care for dogs and cats in our community. As a single-veterinarian general practice, we pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients, delivering high-quality yet conservative medicine, and creating a welcoming experience for every pet and family we serve. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to be the welcoming face of our hospital and help clients navigate their pets' healthcare needs. This role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients, thrives in a busy veterinary setting, and takes pride in being an essential part of a small, supportive team. We're looking for a professional who embraces both the joys and challenges of the field, remains composed under pressure, and is comfortable handling the less glamorous aspects of the profession while continuing to contribute positively on even the busiest or most difficult days. The ideal candidate is willing to jump in wherever needed and is committed to helping patients, clients, and teammates have the best possible experience. Responsibilities Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism Answer phones, triage calls, take messages, schedule appointments, and manage appointment flow AVIMARK experience is a plus! Communicate effectively with clients regarding services, treatments, and follow-up care Process payments and maintain accurate client records Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure an exceptional client experience Support daily front desk operations and maintain a welcoming reception area Help foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture Suport veterinarians and technicians in delivering an outstanding client experience Additional Requirements Ability to remain seated and work at a computer workstation for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Ability to stand and move throughout the hospital for prolonged periods during the workday. Ability to safely lift, carry, and restrain pets and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds without assistance. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform other physical tasks associated with a busy veterinary environment. Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to changing situations, including urgent patient needs, client concerns, and hospital workflow demands. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and composure. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members in person and by telephone.
Experience Customer service:
3 years (Required) Veterinary industry experience: 2-3 years (Required) Schedule Monday through Friday8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Why Join Us?
