Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Your primary responsibilities will include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures.Duties:
- Provide direct patient care for the client who requires total assistance with bathing, dressing, suctioning, and other procedures as necessary per family request
- Administer seizure medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plan
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California
- Experience in a home healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of care planning principles and practices
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and documenting patient information
- Familiarity with direct patient care protocols and procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the patient and family, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a home environment
