Our team combines deep technical expertise with a high-touch client experience, helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their financial futures. We are seeking a Client Service Specialist who is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the financial planning industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, learning complex financial concepts, and being part of a collaborative team environment. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across financial planning, investment management, and client service, with a potential career path toward paraplanner and advisor responsibilities. Position Overview The Client Service Specialist will support the financial planning team by assisting with client service needs, financial planning preparation, account administration, and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate is someone who is naturally curious, enjoys analyzing information, and is motivated to build a long-term career in wealth management. This role will provide significant exposure to the financial planning process and opportunities to develop technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship. Responsibilities Assist with preparation and organization of financial planning materials and client deliverables Support financial planning processes, including gathering client information, analyzing data, and assisting with plan development Assist with investment-related tasks, account maintenance, and portfolio support Maintain accurate client records and documentation Prepare client reports and assist with financial planning software processes Complete administrative and operational tasks that support the overall client experience Assist with client communications, including service requests and follow-up items Support practice initiatives, reporting, and ongoing process improvements Complete additional projects and responsibilities as needed within a growing financial planning practice Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and interpret financial information Comfortable working with numbers, percentages, and financial concepts Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to pursue financial industry licensing and continued professional development Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in financial services, banking, investment operations, or a related field Experience working with financial planning concepts or software Interest in pursuing securities licensing and a long-term career in wealth management Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with a team Career Growth Opportunity Arete Wealth Planning is committed to developing team members through hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to multiple areas of the business.
