Job Description
At NorCal Aquarium and Wildlife Adventures, we are currently seeking a dedicated Guest Services/Sales Team Member to join our team and help create a welcoming atmosphere for our visitors. $20/hour + bonus opportunity. This is a performance-driven role with clear expectations, strong support, and the opportunity to earn $1,000+ in bonuses per pay period during peak times. We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Guest Service Representative to create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face and helpful voice that ensures every visitor feels welcomed, valued, and satisfied. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will drive guest engagement, promote our products and services, and contribute to a lively, positive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills while supporting the overall success of our team. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit Assist guests with product inquiries, store navigation, and information about ongoing promotions or events Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-presented Manage retail math tasks such as calculating totals, discounts, and change with precision Communicate effectively with bilingual guests using language skills to ensure clear understanding and comfort Qualifications Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred; grocery store experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills with a professional phone etiquette to handle inquiries confidently Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse guest populations effectively Enthusiastic about engaging in product demos, upselling, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests Join us as a Guest Service Representative and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service!
