Job Description

BMW Master Technician — Independent Specialty Shop | South Bay Able Auto Repair Gardena, CA Job Details Full-time $35 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications ASE Certification Serving clients Customer service In-person customer service Direct client contact Driver's License Electrical experience Experience working in the automotive repair industry Automotive electrical faults troubleshooting Electrical diagnostics Full Job Description Tired of the whole job being more than just fixing cars? At a lot of dealerships, you diagnose the car, then have to write the estimate, quote the parts, wait on approval, chase the parts department, and manage the customer conversation — on top of the actual repair work. Here, that's not your job. You diagnose. You fix. That's it. This works both ways — we trust your expertise, you handle your responsibilities. Mutual respect, not micromanagement. Bring us your findings, and our service writer handles the quote, the customer conversation, and the parts order. You focus on what you're actually good at — diagnosing and repairing the vehicle — not paperwork and phone calls. We're an independent
BMW/MINI
specialty shop serving the South Bay since 1992. We can't out-pay every dealer in town, but we can offer something most shops can't: a role built around your expertise, not your admin skills.
What you get:
Mon-Fri, 8-5, no weekends $35-$45/hr based on experience and confirmed skill No estimates, no quoting, no chasing parts Doctor's appointments, sick days, life happens — we're understanding, not rigid No flat-rate quota pressure Autonomy to diagnose properly, without being second-guessed Clean, organized shop and a loyal client base PTO and employee discount What we're looking for: 5+ years professional
BMW/MINI
experience Strong independent diagnostic skills, especially electrical systems Comfortable across the full range — daily drivers to M Series, hybrid, and EV Professional and personable with customers — some clients want to meet or speak briefly with the technician who worked on their car Your own tools and toolbox Valid CA driver's license ASE certification preferred This isn't a training position. If you're an experienced tech who wants to spend your day diagnosing and repairing — not writing quotes and chasing approvals — let's talk.
