Customer Service Representative

Job Summary The Union Newspaper in Grass Valley is seeking a dedicated Part Time Customer Service Representative to join our Circulation Staff. You will assist subscribers with inquiries regarding their subscription while ensuring exceptional customer service with a customer first approach that fosters loyal readership in our community. The position will be approximately 25 hours a week, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Manage inbound calls/emails and in person customer inquiries at the front counter regarding subscriptions, delivery and digital access issues. Assist customers with placing classified advertisements and obituary notices. Manage subscriber accounts for new subscriptions, renewals, temporary vacation stops, etc. Process subscription payments and database updates. Provide friendly, professional support to ensure customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to learn phone and database/computer systems quickly. Patience and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
