Dispatcher/Customer Service

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional support to clients and internal teams through effective communication, data management, and coordination within transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, familiarity with transportation management systems, and excellent phone etiquette to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, dispatching freight and managing inquiries via cloud based system and other communication channels. Utilize GPS, and transportation management systems to coordinate shipments, track deliveries, and optimize transportation planning. Manage shipping & receiving processes, including freight coordination, data entry, and documentation accuracy using systems such as 3PL platforms. Support fleet management activities by scheduling dispatches, tracking vehicle locations, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. Assist with logistics analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements in supply chain operations. Maintain detailed records of shipments, delivery statuses, and customer interactions to ensure data integrity and facilitate reporting. Requirements Proven experience or familiarity with transportation, GPS technology, and logistics operations. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to supply chain and transportation planning. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear written correspondence. Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and handling multi-line phone systems efficiently. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, freight management, dispatching, and fleet management practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
