The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while effectively communicating their automotive needs to our technicians. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and the ability to upsell services based on customer requirements. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs. Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues for the service team. Provide detailed estimates for repairs and services, ensuring transparency with customers. Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to relay information about repairs and timelines. Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition, including brake repair, tire service, and alignment. Maintain an organized workflow in the service department, ensuring timely completion of services. Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and any additional recommendations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner. Requirements Proven experience in an automotive service environment, preferably as a Service Writer or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in auto body repair, dealership operations, or as a mechanic. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair processes is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Experience in upselling services and products related to automotive maintenance is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and scheduling purposes.
