Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Associate to serve as the face of our business while helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment. This role is essential to daily operations and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent service. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with purchases Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately Price and stock retail merchandise Rotate and monitor dated inventory Operate fuel pricing equipment as needed Follow assigned work schedules and company procedures Count and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts Maintain a clean and organized workspace (including trash removal, vacuuming, and spill cleanup) Monitor and follow all safety, health, and environmental standards Maintain clear communication and respect company chain of command Additional Responsibilities Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and life vests when necessary Promote a professional and courteous attitude at all times Perform all duties in a manner that protects human health and the environment Report any environmental or safety concerns to management Participate in environmental and safety programs as required Complete other duties as assigned by management Qualifications & Skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members Basic understanding of safety and environmental procedures (or willingness to learn) Good balance and coordination for working on uneven or moving surfaces Knowledge of general cleaning practices Willingness to complete training in: Employee Orientation Hazardous Materials Response Emergency Response Education & Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred Ability to read instructions and communicate clearly in writing Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required On-the-job training provided Work Environment This position may involve physical activity, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.
