This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience in retail sales and cashiering. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, as well as familiarity with POS systems and upselling techniques. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked appropriately Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and organizing merchandise Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming Communicate effectively with team members regarding store operations and customer needs Support in supervising or training new team members if applicable Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Requirements Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills Strong communication skills and the ability to handle phone inquiries professionally Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management Bilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse customer base Experience in grocery stores or merchandising is advantageous Demonstrated ability to upsell products and provide product demos when appropriate Supervising experience is desirable but not mandatory Must be dependable, friendly, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent customer service skills are valued and developed.
