Job Description
Hello! I'm looking for temp help for the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles. We are a fast paced food concession that has been part of the Mid-State Fair for over 30 years and we need some friendly and motivated people to help us serve up lots of delicious food. This position is for the fair only. It is not for our Pismo Beach location. Do not contact our Pismo Beach location regarding this job. Dates are July 15-26. The fair is open all 12 days. Weekdays are open 4pm to midnight. Friday, Saturday, Sunday we are open noon to midnight. I am hiring for 5stands, all days and shifts need coverage. Responsibilities include helping customers, taking orders, using cash register, prepping/packing food and drink orders, keeping work area clean and stocked, assisting with some prep work as well as with general clean up at the end of the night. You may be asked to assist in other areas as needed. You should be comfortable standing for 6-8 hours in a day, able to bend, squat, lift/reach above your head comfortably, able to comfortably lift up to 20 pounds and able to make repetitive movements throughout your shift. Please be 16+ and legally able to work. If you are under 18 please be prepared to obtain a work permit before starting work. Cash register and food experience is a huge plus but we will train motivated applicants. Spanish/English bilingual is very helpful. Please have reliable transportation all days of the fair. We provide passes for entry to the fairgrounds however employees are responsible for their own parking and transportation to work. Pay starting at $17 an hour depending on experience. Extra .25¢/hour for fluent Spanish/English bilingual speakers. We do this fair every year so there is also potential to work for us in the future!
