Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM Position Summary We are seeking a detail?
oriented Customer Service Representative to support order management and customer communication in a food manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate order processing, timely delivery, and responsive customer support while coordinating closely with sales, account management, operations, production, and warehouse teams. Key Responsibilities Process customer orders received via EDI and email, ensuring accuracy and completeness Perform order entry and order processing, confirming pricing, quantities, and product specifications Verify shipping methods and delivery dates based on production schedules and transit timelines Communicate with customers by phone and email to provide product and service information, take orders, and respond to inquiries or complaints Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, credits, returns, and resolutions Collaborate with account managers, sales teams, operations, production, and warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Prepare and distribute order confirmations and required daily reports for designated customers Review and interpret warehouse inventory and availability reports to identify shortages, backorders, or potential service risks Investigate customer claims by comparing shipped products to original purchase orders, production records, and invoices Prepare documentation and invoices for returned or rejected goods in accordance with company procedures Escalate unresolved customer issues to appropriate internal departments for further investigation and corrective action Follow up with customers regarding claim outcomes, credits, replacements, or adjustments Verify that corrective actions have been implemented and customer issues have been fully resolved Recommend improvements to products, packaging, labeling, shipping, service, or billing processes to reduce future issues and improve customer satisfaction Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment Strong experience with order entry, EDI transactions, and high?volume order processing Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with product, pricing, and shipping information Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem?solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross?functional, team?oriented environment Analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory and order data Education High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Compensation:
$21 to $23 per hour Benefit offerings: include medical, dental, vision, additional voluntary benefits, 401K plan.
