Days:
No prior insurance experience is required. During your first 30 days, your core focus will be managing all front-office clerical tasks, customer service, and payment handling while completing your study program. We provide direct assistance and help cover the cost of your study materials so you can successfully pass your state insurance licensing exam within this 30-day training window. Once licensed, you will transition into a producing agent role handling quotes, policy binding, and sales. Key Responsibilities Clerical & Front-Office Customer Service (First 30 Days & Ongoing) Greet all walk-in clients warmly and provide prompt, professional customer service. Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries, take detailed messages, and assist callers. Handle general office clerical work, including filing, data entry, scanning documents, and maintaining office records. Process customer cash and credit/debit card payments accurately and issue valid receipts. Assist licensed agents and brokers by gathering customer information for insurance quotes. Licensing & Training Track (Days 1-30) Complete required state pre-licensing education using company-supported study materials. Prepare for, schedule, and pass the state insurance licensing exam within your first 30 days of employment. Learn agency management software, carrier underwriting guidelines, and office operational procedures. Licensed Agent Responsibilities (Post-Licensing) Consult with clients to assess insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options. Quote, process, and bind new policy applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant. Collaborate with carrier underwriters to negotiate coverage terms and conditions. Follow up on warm leads, make outbound calls, and utilize phone outreach to grow the client base. Assist existing clients with renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and coverage reviews. Stay current on state regulations, industry standards, and carrier product updates.
Requirements & Qualifications Customer Service Mindset:
Demonstrated experience in retail, hospitality, administrative, or front-desk customer service.
Licensing Intent:
Commitment to study, take, and pass the state insurance licensing examination within the first 30 days.
Clerical & Computer Skills:
Comfortable handling office paperwork, basic computer systems, data entry, payment registers, and multi-line phone systems.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, welcoming attitude.
Bilingual Skills:
English/Spanish bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred to assist our diverse client base.
Sales Aptitude:
