Smash Bros is a new fast casual, smash burger restaurant opening up in the heart of Shasta Lake City! Along with our regular smash burgers we will also feature signature burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, tenders, loaded fries and more! We are looking forward to hiring a staff that enjoys a fast paced environment and serving a fantastic product to our community in a fun and respectful environment. Starting pay is $16.90 plus tips (est. $3-4/hour more) Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service Cashier at Smash Bros! In this lively role, you'll be the friendly face that greets customers, manages transactions smoothly, and ensures every guest has an exceptional experience. Whether taking orders, handling cash, or assisting with food preparation, your positive attitude will be key to our success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, retail math, and customer engagement while working in a vibrant setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service in a quick-service restaurant environment Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food prep area, dining space, and cashier station Support food handling, bussing tables, and ensuring proper food safety protocols are followed Requirements Prior experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments preferred but not required Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bussing or cleaning Join us at Smash Bros where your enthusiasm fuels great experiences!
