Job Description

Job Overview Want to be part of the office team for the company making the best hardwood flooring in the USA? Come join us at Muscanell Millworks as a Customer Service Representative where you will work in a collaborative, supportive, and relaxed office environment! This is an office position where you will be responsible for all customer service for our two largest customers. Training will primarily be provided by our current customer service/sales representative, but you will have the support of the rest of the office.
Hours:
Monday-Friday with half days on Fridays (8 a.m. - noon) In addition to answering questions via phone and email from our two biggest customers, this position will be responsible for assisting retail and other walk-in customers, including lifting 40lb. bags of Woodchucks fire logs. Lastly, this position will need to occasionally aid in answering and directing phone calls in the absence of our administrative assistant. Duties Communicate with customers by email and phone regarding quotes, orders, shipments, and product questions Help local retail customers Process quotes and orders Provide pricing and lead times Invoice or double check invoicing of customer purchases Collect payments for purchases Schedule trucks for product shipment Fulfill customer requests (brochures, samples, etc.) and follow-up to ensure requests are being met in a timely manner Travel as needed to support customers Maintain proper documentation of customer issues, quotes, orders, shipments, and other communications Manage customer accounts Reach out to customers regularly to resolve issues before they become a problem Coordinate tours and visits for customers Maintain the order schedule Create and properly distribute BOLs for customer shipments Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Proven experience in administrative roles with clerical responsibilities Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and data entry systems Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading and typing Previous customer service experience demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, front desk operations, and office procedures such as filing and calendar management Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Benefits Health, dental, & vision insurance Monthly crew lunch Annual picnic and Christmas party Growth opportunities Half-day Fridays Paid holidays Employer-matching retirement savings plan Paid time off (PTO) Annual incentive bonus (on financially successful years) Discounts on Muscanell products
Starting Wage:
$16.00 - $18.00/hour
DOE Pay:
