Position Summary The Ready-Mix CSR works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to fulfill the needs of customers throughout Southern Colorado. Answer the phone promptly with an accommodating tone of voice, takes the customer's order for ready-mixed concrete in a detailed, timely and professional manner, and records accurate delivery and product information on that order. This position reports directly to the Dispatch Manager. Wage Ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, dependent upon experience. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) CSR must be aware of special jobsite conditions that require specific trucks, spacing, material needs, etc. CSR needs to be familiar with the delivery area and must be able to assist lost drivers in finding jobsites, determine travel times to jobs. CSR must be customer service minded and, be able to keep a level head under stressful conditions in a high paced environment. CSR must be able to quickly build rapport and relationships with others, including team members, customers & vendors. Responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers. Properly follow all company policies andOSHA/MSHA
regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Follow directions of Dispatch Manager as to daily tasks and expectations. Display a professional, positive and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times. Reliable attendance is essential to performance in this role. Possess a level of determination to successfully maximize production and efficiencies. Maintain a positive attitude. Promote and maintain a clean Work Environment. Suggest and implement new ways to make our business better. Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications Education/Experience High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED). Knowledge of concrete and construction industry is preferred. Three to five years related customer service experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Communicate effectively with customers as well as truck drivers to dispatch orders in a timely and efficient manner. Must provide excellent customer service by phone; scheduling and organizing large numbers of people and equipment efficiently and quickly. Handle multiple tasks concurrently and perform under pressure. Perform opening and closing procedures. Must be able to act quickly and creatively to solve problems; work independently and make decisions. Utilize GPS tracking software and enter orders into dispatch scheduling software; ability to quickly learn different software programs. Strictly adhere to safety requirements, policies, and procedures as outlined in the employee policy manual. Report to work at the designated start time. Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors/managers with other duties as required. Available to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary. Reliable attendance is essential in performance of the role. This is 5 days a week M-F position, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Knowledge/Skill Requirements . Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Abilit to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure using whole number, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Basic computer skills for entering orders. Outlook, Word, Excel, Keyboard 25 + wpm. Extensive knowledge of Pueblo and Southern Colorado, ability to read and understand maps. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and be an effective problem solver.Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred, but not required Key Competencies Customer Service
