- Stratford and Darien, Connecticut About Unleashed Veterinary Dermatology Unleashed Veterinary Dermatology is a privately owned specialty veterinary practice with no external investors, allowing us to remain focused on exceptional patient care, client experience, and our team.
We're growing! In addition to our established Stratford practice, we're opening a brand-new location in Darien. This position offers the opportunity to be part of that growth from the beginning, working with our team across both locations and helping us bring the same exceptional client experience we've built in Stratford to our new Darien practice. Rather than being tied to one location, you'll have regularly scheduled shifts in both Stratford and Darien, allowing you to work with different members of our team, build relationships with clients across both communities, and play an important role as our practice continues to grow. We are looking for a Client Service Representative who genuinely enjoys working with people, communicates well, stays organized in a busy environment, and wants to be part of a growing specialty practice. Veterinary experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person who is motivated to learn. This position will include regularly scheduled shifts at both our Stratford and Darien locations , so candidates must be comfortable working between the two offices. Key Responsibilities As a Client Service Representative, you will be an important part of the client experience from the first phone call through completion of each visit.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting clients and patients and creating a welcoming, professional experience Checking clients in and processing necessary paperwork Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with client questions Scheduling new patient consultations, recheck appointments, and procedures Managing and monitoring online appointment requests Accurately documenting client communications in our veterinary software Collaborating with doctors, technicians, and other team members to coordinate client needs Checking clients out, processing payments, and scheduling follow-up care Helping clients understand appointment logistics, practice policies, and next steps Monitoring schedules and helping maintain efficient patient flow Assisting with email and other client communications as needed What We're Looking For Veterinary dermatology involves a significant amount of communication and relationship-building with pet owners. Great people skills are essential.
The ideal candidate is:
Friendly, professional, and comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people Organized and able to manage multiple priorities Detail-oriented and dependable Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person Comfortable learning new technology and veterinary software Interested in learning and growing within a specialty veterinary practice A collaborative team member who is willing to help where needed Able and willing to work scheduled shifts at both our Stratford and Darien locations Previous veterinary, medical, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required. Schedule This is a full-time position consisting primarily of four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM. Our practice operates across our Stratford and Darien locations , and this position will be scheduled at both offices based on practice needs. Candidates should have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work between locations. The schedule may also include occasional Friday shifts. Our Philosophy Our staff is the heart of our clinic. We aim to attract exceptional employees through competitive wages and a working culture centered around excellence of care, collaboration, and employee growth. We prioritize one-on-one mentorship, continuing education, conference travel, and opportunities for employees to expand their skills as our practice grows.
