  • Wallingford CampusTransportation Customer Service Specialist 30 hours weekly
  • Day Shift 7:30AM to 1:30PM Monday
  • Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities as dispatch support: Works with appropriate transportation staff to carry out daily operations of the department, including schedule changes and emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner.
Resolves transportation conflicts and handles unusual or difficult requests or complaints. Utilizes dispatch computer program to achieve daily operational goals. Attends all required in-service training. Interacts with adult and older adult residents/patients and various Masonicare affiliates and departments to facilitate the transportation of medical appointments, recreational outings, freight and errands after considering the need and importance of various requests. Demonstrates supportive attitude towards patients, visitors and/or staff. Communicates effectively and tactfully with residents/patients recognizing their age, needs, abilities and physical condition. Reports all unsafe conditions to appropriate supervisor, including change in patient status, broken or malfunctioning equipment, or anything that could be potential threat or danger to a resident. Understands and follows Universal Precautions as it pertains to their department. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Graduate, or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience in transportation, or a related field. Supervisory experience preferred.
Key Competencies:
Good interpersonal skills. Communicate effectively.

Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Day Shift / 30 hr/wk
