Summary As a Customer Service Associate / Cashier at Heartland Discount Pharmacy, located in Okeechobee, Florida, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers. This role is essential in delivering outstanding service and ensuring smooth transactions, contributing to our commitment to community health and well-being. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries regarding products and services. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers. Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances throughout shifts. Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a tidy shopping environment. Provide product demonstrations and information to enhance customer understanding of offerings. Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer calls and inquiries. Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and collaboration. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service roles, preferably in retail or pharmacy settings. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail for accurate transactions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with retail sales processes is beneficial but not required.
