Job Description

Gulf Coast Insurance is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Licensed 4-40, 20-44, or 2-20 Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting both our customers and our sales team while helping deliver the exceptional service Gulf Coast Insurance is known for. This is more than a traditional CSR role. In addition to servicing personal lines policies, this position will serve as a dedicated support representative to the sales team, helping maintain workflow efficiency, policy accuracy, and customer retention.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting clients with policy inquiries, endorsements, billing questions, claims support, and general service needs Ability to explain coverages and processing policy changes Accepting payments and assisting with routine service requests Reviewing policies for accuracy and identifying potential coverage gaps Properly documenting all customer interactions in the agency management system Following up with customers to ensure concerns are resolved promptly and professionally Escalating underwriting or complex service issues when appropriate
Dedicated Sales Team Support Responsibilities:
This position will also act as a dedicated CSR for the sales team and assist with tasks including, but not limited to: Data entry into agency rating systems and quoting platforms Binding new business policies Documentation collection and tracking Assisting with underwriting follow-up items Maintaining accurate client records and policy documentation Supporting the sales team with retention efforts and ongoing account servicing Helping maintain and retain the agency's existing book of business
Qualifications:
Active Florida 4-40, 20-44, or 2-20 License required Minimum one (1) year insurance agency experience required Prior customer service and policy servicing experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities Working knowledge of agency management systems and rating platforms preferred
