Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with various store operations. This role is vital in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers and supporting the overall efficiency of our store. Bilingual skills and previous retail experience are a plus. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and securely Maintain knowledge of store products to assist with product demos and upselling opportunities Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing displays Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and stock rotation Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and sales Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a welcoming environment Follow phone etiquette standards when handling customer calls or inquiries Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous Good organizational skills with the ability to supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
