Alterations Fitting and Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of our Alteration boutique and Dry Cleaning business. You will interact directly with customers, ensuring they have a positive experience from drop-off to pick-up. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting customers, fitting customers and processing orders from tagging to packing. Also assist with scheduling, and maintaining an organized and efficient front counter area. We are looking for someone

PART-TIME

(25-30 hrs a week) with opportunity to become full-time. Currently need someone Mon to Fri 1-6 pm and Sat 10-14 pm.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Fit, mark or pin garments on customers to determine required alterations and repairs.
• Marks clothing and write instruction tags according to clients personalized fitting and dry cleaning requests.
• Uses base price lists and understanding of garment design/fabrics to price price alterations and dry cleaning orders. Processes all transactions using computer Point of Sales System (POS) system
• Tag, sort and pack garments as per order requirements.
• Allocate the garments on the work line to the seamstresses/tailors and dry cleaning department as needed to maintain maximum productivity
• Assist alterations and dry cleaning department with small repairs and buttons, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning merchandise as needed
• Follow quality control guidelines and inspect all garments to verify pristine condition before final delivery to customer
• Sort and pack completed garments as per order requirements.
• Handle cash and credit transactions, including reconciling end of day sales
• Answers phones, schedules appointments and communicates with customers, alterations and dry cleaning staff about work orders as needed.
• Maintains the store clean and orderly, including sweeping, mopping and dusting.
• Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• must have valid work permit!!
• Education or experience in fashion design/merchandising, sewing or doing fittings will be an asset.
• Basic administrative and computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills and experience.
• Some experience in the dry cleaning, alterations, bridal, retail or related environment required
• Bilingual
• English and Spanish is preferred
• Manual and physical dexterity to perform fittings as necessary. Job will require the ability to move throughout the store, lift up to 10Kgs, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, stand, and reach with arms
• Able to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
