Description:
The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between the service department and customers, ensuring a transparent, professional, and positive service experience. This role is responsible for assessing vehicle service needs, communicating recommendations, and managing repair orders from write-up through completion. Service Advisors play a critical role in customer satisfaction, service department productivity, and long-term customer retention. Clearly explain recommended maintenance and repair services, including timelines and estimated costs. Create, manage, and close repair orders accurately and efficiently using dealership systems. Communicate regularly with customers to provide updates throughout the service process. Work closely with technicians and parts teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs. Recommend maintenance and repair services ethically, transparently, and in alignment with manufacturer guidelines. Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and CSI performance. Follow dealership processes, compliance standards, and OEM requirements. Participate in training, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
Requirements:
Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of automotive service and repair terminology. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-focused mindset. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience as a Service Advisor preferred; automotive dealership experience strongly preferred. Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus. Ongoing training provided to support growth and development. What This Role Requires Ability to stand, walk, and remain active in the service drive for extended periods. Ability to sit and work at a computer to complete repair orders and documentation. Ability to communicate clearly with customers, technicians, and team members throughout the day.
