JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer. Candidate must be dependable and adaptable. As a service writer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department by coordinating communication between customers and our skilled technicians. On average 45-50 per, flexibility is required to finish the task at hand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers and provide top-notch customer service.
• Provide accurate estimates for equipment services and maintenance recommendations.
• Creating work orders for service and warranty.
• Schedule appointments and manage work orders.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them for service technicians.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely and efficient completion of service orders.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
• Follow up with vendors on warranty consideration.
• Assist with dispatching service techs as required.
• Work closely with the parts department to ensure correct parts are on service project.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, semi-trucks and trailers repairs and maintenance
• Ability to upsell service and maintenance.
• Creative and resourceful
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment terminology and basic understanding of vehicle systems is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
