Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our independent insurance agency. This role is essential in maintaining strong client relationships, supporting policy servicing, and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must either currently hold an active insurance license or be willing and able to obtain licensure within 90 days of employment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day service support for personal and commercial lines clients
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
- Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, and policy documentation
- Assist producers with quoting, applications, and account follow-up
- Review policies for accuracy and completeness
- Support account rounding and cross-selling opportunities when appropriate
- Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding underwriting and service needs
- Prepare certificates of insurance, binders, and evidence of coverage
- Deliver professional, timely service to support client retention Qualifications Required
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with standard office software and computer systems Preferred
- Prior insurance agency experience (personal lines, commercial lines, or both)
- Experience with agency management systems
- Life license (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working directly with insurance carriers Performance Expectations
- Provide timely and accurate policy servicing support
- Maintain strong client satisfaction and retention
- Complete licensing requirement within 90 days if not already licensed
- Support producers in meeting agency growth goals
