Customer Service Warehouse Operation

Role Overview We are seeking a focused Customer Service and Warehouse Operations Specialist to manage the end-to-end workflow of chemical sales and logistics. This role requires a unique blend of analytical thinking (market pricing and sourcing) and hands-on operational support (shipping docs and warehouse coordination).

Core Responsibilities Pricing & Sourcing:

Quote inquiries for bulk and pack sizes by comparing historic prices and competitor data. Identify new chemical sources to optimize cost and lead times.

Data Integrity:

Update database for CAS# changes, hazard restrictions, and form/name updates. Audit warehouse stock for pricing or pack-size anomalies.

Order Fulfillment:

Accurately enter sales orders and prepare comprehensive shipping kits (labels and documents) for the warehouse team.

International Logistics:

Coordinate with customs brokers for daily clearance of international shipments. Stay updated on tariffs and global shipping requirements to prevent delays.

Customer Advocacy:

Act as the primary point of contact for order status, documentation requests, and combined shipping schedules for high-volume clients.

Administrative Support:

Manage office/warehouse supply inventory and act as the internal IT liaison to streamline technical troubleshooting. Technical & Digital Tasks Upload catalog updates to customer platforms and Biovia for CAS assignment. Monitor competitor marketing strategies and new product launches. Prepare month-end closing files and documentation.

Requirements Experience in CSR, Logistics, or Operations (Chemical/Pharma industry experience is a plus). Strong communication skills for both internal staff and external clients. Proficiency in database management and digital platforms. Ability to work on-site in Buffalo Grove.

Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
