Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a waste and environmental services organization in Elk Grove Village IL. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, managing a fast-paced workload, and coordinating with multiple teams to deliver timely solutions. In this role, you will support service inquiries, process account updates, and contribute to a positive customer experience through clear communication and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond to a high volume of inbound customer calls and messages while providing attentive, timely support.
  • Partner with internal teams to investigate service concerns, resolve customer disputes, and follow through on outstanding issues.
  • Speak with customers to gather account details, document interactions, and enter accurate information into company systems.
  • Prepare service agreements, explain applicable fees, collect payments or deposits, and update records for account changes or service cancellations.
  • Handle billing questions and address service-related complaints, escalating matters to the appropriate department when additional review is needed.
  • Promote customer satisfaction by delivering courteous service and identifying opportunities to recommend additional services when appropriate.
  • Complete administrative support tasks such as order entry, processing production paperwork, and maintaining organized office records.
  • Work to resolve problems in a practical and cost-conscious manner while supporting safe and environmentally responsible service outcomes.
