We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide customer service and process customer orders to promote goodwill and improve sales. Job Overview The Customer Service Representative provides vital customer service support by answering phones, quoting pricing, taking orders, tracking delivery and order status, expediting delivery, providing minor technical support, and resolving complaints or problems. Key Responsibilities Provide customer service support by answering phones, quoting pricing, taking orders, tracking delivery and order status, expediting delivery, providing minor technical support, and resolving complaints or problems. Process incoming orders, modify existing orders, or cancel orders in accordance with standard procedures. Assign returned goods accounts for all products returned to the regional office. Prepare and mail product literature, manuals, and catalogs at the customer's request. Provide administrative and clerical support as required: preparing mail, preparing reports, billings, vouchers, and correspondence, filing, and copying. Maintain office and customer files. Receive incoming mail and faxes, distribute to the appropriate person, and prepare outgoing mail for pick up. Use personal computer and other common office equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience in manufacturing. High school diploma or GED Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and skills in database management and record keeping. Ability to perform basic math skills, and use decimals to compute ratios and percents. Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos, as well as write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and external customers. Must be organized, flexible, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Problem Solving & Cognitive Requirements Ability to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagrammatic or schedule form. Work Environment & Physical Demands This role typically operates in an Office Environment. When going through the factory, the employee will be exposed to loud noise from manufacturing, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, noxious odors, mists, gases, and poor ventilation that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin. Must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
Must be able to frequently:
work with hands, use depth perception, focus eyes, maintain body equilibrium, have clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, and extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Must be able to occasionally:
kneel, hear, crouch, work primarily with fingers, feel primarily with fingertips, identify and distinguish colors, stoop, and talk.
