Position Summary The Data Processing Support role is responsible for performing daily data processing, bookkeeping, proof/imaging functions, and delivering courteous, timely customer service. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate transaction processing, system operations, and support of customer account services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Execute programs within the bank's core data processing systems and maintain backup procedures and archival processes. Process ACH exception items including returns, notices of change, and reclamations; maintain ACH logs and records. Perform proof and imaging functions, including balancing transactions and correcting discrepancies. Provide internet banking support, including customer enrollment, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. Support debit and credit card systems; assist with error resolution and customer inquiries. Handle customer service requests related to DDA accounts via phone, email, or in person. Process incoming and outgoing wire transactions. Manage transaction exceptions, including NSF items, non-post items, returns, collections, stop payments, and account holds. Print, prepare, distribute, scan, and archive documents such as reports, statements, and notices. Conduct account and transaction research as needed. Assist coworkers with customer service tasks when needed. Promote bank products and digital services and generate referrals when appropriate. Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including privacy standards. Participate in community activities and maintain professional relationships with customers and coworkers Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing Ability to multitask and transition efficiently between responsibilities Excellent customer service and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and banking systems Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to operate standard office and banking equipment. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Office environment with moderate noise levels Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs Ability to operate office and data processing equipment Ability to travel between locations as needed
