Office Manager General Overview:
The Customer Service Attendant is a key member of the clerical team and applies her/his skills to ensure quality service to support staff and the general public. Performs specific duties as assigned by the office manager to ensure most effective use of staff time and resources and to support overall administrative functions of the organization. Because this is a front line staff position working closely with staff, volunteers and the public, must maintain a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere that reflects professionalism and commitment to support the work of staff and volunteers.Major Responsibilities:
1. Is knowledgeable of posted Front Office Protocols. 2. Processes all paperwork for adoptions, strays, animals brought to the shelter, return to owners, etc. 3. Prepares support materials to be distributed to potential adopters- "goody bags", information pieces, etc.
Essential Functions and Skills:
Good organizational skills; office management; attention to detail; good verbal and written communications skills; basic math skills; self-motivated; team player; ability to take direction from supervisor; computer competency and working with data base systems; ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment; ability to work with animals; customer oriented and ability to deal with a broad spectrum of the community; good sense of humor. All employees must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work. Must be capable of managing and handling large packages including items weighing in excess of 40 pounds.Hours:
30 to 40 hours per weekClassification:
