(HCCS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Corydon, Indiana, dedicated to serving as a vital safety net for local residents. Established in 1976, HCCS works to help individuals, children, and families meet their basic needs and achieve long-term stability through direct support and community development programs. Key services include monthly food pantry distributions, mobile food pantries, emergency utility and eviction prevention assistance, and community meal programs operated in partnership with local partners.
Responsibilities Client Engagement & Hospitality:
Warmly greeting clients upon their arrival, assisting them with collecting their requested food items, and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate, and respectful environment.
Pantry Fulfillment:
Selecting, organizing, and packing food items tailored to client needs and inventory guidelines.
Pantry Support & Restocking:
Assisting with organizing, stocking, and maintaining food pantry shelves as needed.
Qualifications Compassionate & Friendly Attitude:
A welcoming disposition and enjoyment in interacting with diverse community members.
Physical Ability:
Comfort with standing, walking, pushing a grocery cart, and lifting items weighing up to 15 lbs throughout the shift.
Reliability:
Dependable attendance for scheduled 2 to 4 hour shifts.
