Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary:

Headley Hardware is looking for a dependable and friendly employee to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for customers, you'll play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience. This position involves handling transactions, assisting customers with basic product questions, and supporting overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers in a welcoming and professional manner Accurately process sales transactions (cash, credit/debit, etc.) Handle returns, exchanges, and issue receipts Maintain a clean, organized checkout area Answer customer questions and direct them to the appropriate department Communicate efficiently and effectively with team members to ensure excellent customer service Assist with stocking shelves and front-end merchandising as needed Monitor inventory at the register (bags, receipt paper, etc.) Follow all store policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Previous retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required Strong customer service and communication skills Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Dependable and punctual Willingness to learn about hardware products Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends

Physical Requirements:
