Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service orders and repair estimates using automotive estimating software Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and recommended services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension, tire services, shocks & struts Upsell additional maintenance or repair services by highlighting benefits aligned with customer needs Manage client communication throughout the service process to ensure transparency and satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation Collaborate with the team to assist in automobile repairs when appropriate Maintain thorough records of all service activities, estimates, and client interactions to ensure accuracy and accountability Assist with housekeeping in lobby area to insure a clean and inviting atmosphere for our customers Assist in keeping track of inventory within the store and in the shop. Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Writer or in auto service management with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge Familiarity with estimating software and excel spreadsheets Dealership experience or background in automotive repair shops is highly preferred Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, suspension components, tire services, tires, shocks & struts, brake repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients of diverse backgrounds Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and cash handling Embark on a rewarding career where your automotive expertise meets exceptional customer care!
