Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries, including product demos when applicable Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and retail math calculations Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to enhance the shopping experience Upsell products by recommending complementary items to increase sales and customer satisfaction Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers Support stocking efforts by organizing inventory and ensuring products are readily available for customers Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail or grocery store environment Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or training new staff Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers in a bilingual setting if applicable Skilled in customer service, with a friendly demeanor and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos to enhance sales opportunities Familiarity with grocery store operations, including stocking, inventory management, and retail sales strategies Embark on a rewarding journey where your proactive approach and dedication will elevate the customer experience.
