CSR - Customer Service Representative

The primary responsibility of a CSR is to provide excellent customer service and assist customers with various banking transactions and inquiries. CSR's must always maintain professionalism and effective communication with both customers and colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and direct customers.
• Receive and transfer phone calls and messages.
• Maintain necessary records and files.
• Develop knowledge of appropriate banking regulations.
• Must develop knowledge of Bank functions and become proficient in cross-selling skills.
• Explain various services and assist customers in selecting the appropriate service(s) needed.
• Perform customer services, such as opening new accounts, ordering checks, processing stop payments, and processing alterations to existing deposit accounts, etc.
• Open and maintain IRA's.
• CSR staff will follow up with customers after account opening and other services within a reasonable time frame (that being 10 business days from date of service).
• To confirm the customer received their printed checks.
• To inquire if the customer has any further questions regarding other services Planters Bank has to offer.
• Open lockboxes and handle rental and billing.
• Always maintain confidentiality.
• May cross-train on teller line.
• Will float from office to office as needed.
• Perform any duties requested by a supervisor relating to the Bank and its' functions.
• Ensures compliance with all Federal and State banking Laws, regulations & rules.
• Make sales calls to existing and prospective customers.
• And, as directed, may perform other duties from time to time.
