We are seeking a dynamic and organized Office Manager/Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. This vital role combines administrative leadership with customer-facing responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional service experiences. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong automotive background, including experience with vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and estimating software. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help drive customer satisfaction, streamline service processes, and support our team in achieving operational excellence. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and guide them through the service process, providing clear communication about vehicle repairs and maintenance. Manage appointment scheduling, work orders, and service write-ups efficiently to maximize workflow. Utilize automotive estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and explain repair options to clients. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and other maintenance needs. Oversee the service department's daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly and accurately. Collaborate with technicians to understand vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair procedures including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, and collision repair. Handle cash transactions and maintain precise records of parts used, labor hours, and billing details. Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status updates and recommended services to enhance customer satisfaction. Support the dealership's sales efforts by promoting automotive services that meet customer needs while maintaining high standards of integrity. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Skills Proven experience in automotive service management or as a service technician with strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairs. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective client communication abilities. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repairs, alignment, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and air brake systems. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining transparency and trust with customers. Experience working in a dealership environment or auto shop is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in auto estimating and service writing to accurately document repairs and generate invoices. Basic driving skills required for test-driving vehicles when necessary.
