Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions and cash drawer management with precision. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales. Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store product knowledge to enhance the shopping environment. Upsell complementary products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met. Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely, ensuring clear communication. Support the team by supervising new staff or trainees, sharing best practices for cashiering and customer interactions. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is essential for smooth transaction processing. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership roles within retail settings are a plus. Strong communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and English are beneficial for serving diverse customer bases. Knowledge of retail math, basic cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques will help ensure accuracy and efficiency. Experience conducting product demos or upselling can significantly boost sales performance. Prior exposure to grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge enhances your ability to assist customers effectively.
