Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely Greet customers warmly, offering assistance with product inquiries or locating items Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and confidence Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers Upsell related products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales opportunities Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and ensure proper stocking of registers with necessary supplies Assist with merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively on shelves and displays Support inventory management through stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders over the phone Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Engage in basic retail math to handle transactions accurately and balance cash drawers at shift end Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse customers Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse community effectively Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts is highly desirable Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining high energy levels throughout shifts Excellent phone etiquette skills for handling customer calls professionally and courteously Join us if you're passionate about creating memorable shopping experiences!
