Melrose Animal Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist / Client Care Representative to join our growing team. In this essential front-desk role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets—ensuring a positive, efficient, and compassionate experience from check-in to check-out. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a busy veterinary environment, and has a passion for both client service and animal care. Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: Greet clients and patients warmly while providing exceptional customer service Answer high-volume phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately Differentiate routine appointments from urgent/emergency cases and escalate as needed Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately Obtain and document patient medical history and client information Verify patient immunization and testing status Enter client, patient, and financial data into veterinary software systems Generate invoices and explain charges/treatment plans clearly to clients Process payments and maintain accurate financial records Communicate patient arrival and treatment needs to veterinarians and technical staff Manage retrieval, filing, and storage of medical records Maintain an organized and professional front desk/reception area Support additional administrative and client service tasks as assigned This is not a complete list of duties.
