Customer Liaison Location:
Martha's Vineyard Shipyard (On-site)
Position Type:
Full-Time, Year-Round (With Benefits) About Us We are a growing, family-owned shipyard built on quality craftsmanship, strong customer relationships, and a passion for the water. We pride ourselves on creating a workplace where team members are supported, challenged, and appreciated. We are currently looking for a Service Writer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to be the face of our service operations.
What You'll Do First Contact:
Act as the main point of contact for our customers, offering top-tier communication and welcoming service.
Estimating & Planning:
Prepare detailed, accurate written estimates for labor, parts, and repairs.
Project Tracking:
Follow work closely through every stage of service to ensure deadlines and high quality standards are met.
Customer Follow-Up:
Maintain proactive, timely communication with boat owners regarding updates, approvals, and completion timelines.
What We're Looking For Boat Knowledge:
Solid understanding of boats, marine systems, and shipyard terminology is require
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable navigating digital management software, inventory systems, and modern communication tools.
Detail-Oriented & Organized:
Exceptional tracking abilities to keep work orders accurate and projects moving smoothly.
Adaptable & Driven:
Willing to take on new challenges and adjust as daily shipyard priorities evolve.
People Skills:
High level of patience, exceptional customer service skills, and a good sense of humor!
