Cashier/Customer Service

Job Description We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable Food Truck Cashier & Customer Service Associate to join our Jamaican food truck team in Maryland. As the first point of contact for customers, you will be the face of the company—setting the tone for exceptional service and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Your role involves greeting customers, taking orders, handling payments, and supporting smooth food truck operations. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, positive environment. Take orders accurately using a POS system and communicate them clearly to the kitchen team. Handle cash and electronic payments securely and responsibly. Answer customer questions about menu items and make suggestions when needed. Manage the pick-up window and ensure customers receive their food promptly and correctly. Address any customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary. Assist with setting up the service area, displays, condiments, and supplies. Keep the cashier and customer-facing area clean, organized, and stocked. Help with closing duties including cleaning, wiping surfaces, organizing supplies, and preparing for the next service day. Support the team during peak hours with light food prep or packaging if needed (no cooking required). Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Embody the warmth, hospitality, and vibrant spirit of Jamaican culture. Deliver customer experiences that reflect the company's service values. Requirements Previous experience in cash handling, customer service, or food service is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a mobile/outdoor setting. POS system knowledge is a plus (training available). Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs when needed.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
