Work Hours:
Monday to Friday 7:45am to 4:15pm What you will do on a typical day as a
Call Center Agent:
Answer incoming calls. Performs all interactions in a professional and courteous manner, utilizing exceptional customer service skills. Process a minimum of 100 calls per 8 hour shift, accurately and efficiently. Schedule appointments and procedures accurately, utilizing knowledge of physician preference, insurance participation and requirements including utilization of referrals and treatment plans. Triage phone calls and generate electronic transfer of messages to physicians/staff as deemed necessary. Generate patient prescription requests for electronic approval and transfer from Physician to pharmacy. Generate referrals and treatment plans for physician approval. Prior experience working with Electronic Health Records a must. Assists in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's/practice HIPAA policy. Handles calls in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner, forwarding calls to appropriate department, taking messages, and providing information as necessary. Proficient in handling calls for multiple clients with high call volumes. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills with a focus on proper grammar and the ability to proficiently relay and document information. What you'll need to be successful as a
Call Center Agent:
1+ years of experience in a medical office, call center, or customer service role. Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR); Athena experience preferred. Ability to manage high call volumes. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Have an understanding and demonstrate sensibility to the cultural diversity of patients, staff, and visitors. Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
