Job Description

Role Overview:
You are the guide for every rider who walks through our doors, helping them find their perfect ride, gear up for adventure, and feel welcome in the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
Consultative Sales & Riding Expert:
Engage with riders to recommend the perfect bicycle and accessories based on their specific needs and riding style.
Brand Specialist:
Gain and maintain expert knowledge on Trek, Aventon, and Salsa models, including technical specifications and price/quality points, to recommend the ideal bike for each customer's riding preferences.
Service Coordinator:
Act as the link between customers and the workshop by performing service intakes, documenting mechanical issues with precision, and professionally communicating with customers by phone and text.
Retail Operations & Technology:
Master shop software to process transactions, manage customer profiles, and handle sales for a professional checkout experience. What You'll Bring (Required Skills):
Inclusive Hospitality:
A welcoming, patient, and proactive attitude toward all customers, regardless of experience level.
Tech-Savvy Operations:
Comfort using tablets or computers for inventory lookups and processing sales.
Physical Readiness:
Strength to move and organize bicycles across the floor and outdoor lot, and the ability to stand for long periods of time. What We'd Like (Preferred Skills) The "Bike Interpreter": Ability to translate "bike jargon" into plain English for new riders while remaining technical for enthusiasts.
Solution-Oriented Listening:
Ability to ask the right questions to quickly and accurately narrow down a customer's needs. Summer Success Roadmap (The July Fast-Track): Phase 1 (14 Days): Independently navigate the POS system and handle service intakes, setting realistic expectations for costs and timelines. Phase 2 (Early July): Lead full consultations for Trek/Aventon and answer 80% of customer questions regarding bike styles and local trails. Phase 3 (Mid-July): Successfully complete a "start-to-finish" bike sale, including the initial consult, test ride, accessory add-ons (helmet, lock, lights, mirrors), and final purchase documentation.
Pay:
From $14.00 per hour
