Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to the members in a sensitive and service-oriented manner, practicing the credit union philosophy. Solve member problems and help with complex transactions.
- Accepts share and loan payments from members in person, by mail and drop box; disburse funds to members in person and by mail for withdrawals of shares; perform check cashing in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Credit Union.
- Opening accounts for new and existing members such as share, checking, money market and helping with loan applications.
- Recommending and explaining banking services and products to members based on their needs.
- Presenting and cross-selling banking services and products to existing and prospective members.
- Summarizes all receipts and disbursements and balance cash drawer.
- Receive and process member change of address in person and by mail. Close accounts and perform any file maintenance required. User checklists provided for accuracy.
- Perform OFAC and TeleCheck functions as required.
BSA & OFAC
- Open and redeem member certificates.
- Responsible for maintaining Safe Deposit Boxes; which includes opening, closing and completion of monthly Safe Deposit Report for annual fees.
- Redeem savings bonds.
- Scan and balance checks into imaging for nightly deposit.
- Answer member questions on accounts, dividends and statements.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Friendly, enthusiastic and dependable.
- Aptitude for figures and detail work.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills including experience using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
