Do you want to be the welcoming face of rail travel in Pontiac? All The Jewells, LLC is seeking a dedicated, independent Station Caretaker to manage the daily operations and guest experience at the Pontiac Transportation Center. This location serves as the vital northern terminus of Amtrak's busy Wolverine corridor, linking Metro Detroit right to Chicago. As the Station Caretaker, you will ensure that passengers have a safe, clean, and welcoming environment as they prepare for their journey, while keeping station operations running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities Passenger & Customer Service:
Greet passengers, answer questions, and provide accurate, up-to-the-minute information regarding inbound and outbound train schedules (specifically tracking the originating and terminating runs of the Wolverine service).
Station Operations:
Manage the daily opening and closing protocols of the station building, ensuring the facility is secure, well-timed, and ready for travelers.
Facility Stewardship:
Maintain the pride of the station by keeping the passenger waiting area clean, organized, and free of debris, ensuring a first-class impression for every visitor.
What We Are Looking For Independent Operators:
Ability to work efficiently and autonomously without direct daily supervision. Attention to
Detail:
High standards for cleanliness and orderliness within the station facility.
Strong Time Management:
Excellent punctuality to ensure the station is always open and ready well ahead of scheduled train departures.
Experience & Requirements:
1 year of customer service experience (Preferred) Valid Driver's License (Preferred) Reliable commute to the Pontiac, MI station location (Required)
