Job Description

Nelson Auto, a family-owned dealership serving Minnesota and North Dakota communities, is looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor / Acquisition Specialist to join our service team. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in dealership operations by acting as the primary connection between customers and technicians. In this fast-paced, people-focused position, you will help customers understand their vehicle service needs, coordinate repair schedules, and ensure work moves efficiently through the shop. The Acquisition Specialist role is a vital component in acquiring top quality per-owned vehicles for inventory via our service drive customers. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and listen carefully to vehicle concerns and service needs Schedule service appointments and manage daily shop workflow Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs clearly to customers Serve as the liaison between technicians and customers Monitor repair progress to ensure efficient turnaround times Review completed work with customers and explain services performed Collaborate with service and dealership leadership to maintain smooth operations Deliver an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pickup Provide an acquisition appraisal for service customers while in our service lane Work closely with the sales department to achieve the correct mix of inventory desired for resale. Qualifications Previous Service Advisor, automotive technician, or customer service experience preferred (not required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of automotive systems or willingness to learn Professional, team-oriented attitude Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Compensation:
