Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience Perform product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers Upsell additional items or promotions to increase sales and meet store targets Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and issuing receipts Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in a bilingual environment (if applicable) Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking and organizing products efficiently Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environment is advantageous Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction balancing Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions Willingness to learn product features for demos and upselling opportunities Join us in creating a lively shopping atmosphere where every customer feels valued!
