Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Generator Field Service Writer / Service Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication hub between customers, technicians, and management, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service for generator maintenance and repair services. Duties Coordinate service appointments by scheduling field technician visits for generator repairs, installations, and maintenance Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear communication about service status and technical recommendations Prepare detailed service reports, work orders, and estimates using estimating software to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping Assist technicians with documenting repairs, diagnostics, and mechanical issues related to generators and associated systems Upsell additional services or parts when appropriate to enhance customer value and increase sales opportunities Manage cash handling procedures accurately during transactions and ensure proper documentation of all financial activities Collaborate with dealership teams on vehicle maintenance, collision repair, or automotive diagnostics that may impact generator servicing or customer needs Skills Proven experience in service writing or auto service management within a dealership or automotive repair environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tires, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, diesel engine repair, and other mechanical systems Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate quotes Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction Previous experience in sales or auto estimating is highly desirable Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe vehicle operation during field service activities Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-tier generator solutions! Pay:
