Position Summary:
Veterinary Receptionists are the first point of contact for our clients and play a critical role in creating a welcoming, organized, and compassionate experience. This position supports both clients and the medical team by communicating clearly about care and pricing and ensuring smooth clinic flow in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Responsibilities include greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism, answering phones, maintaining accurate medical records and client information, sending referral letters to primary veterinarians, and keeping a clean, organized clinical environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping people during stressful moments. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.

Working Conditions:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to: Work and adhere to a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace. Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time. Flexible work schedule with the ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays (excluding Christmas). Maintain confidentiality of all information received or learned while working at UPC.
Education/Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required. College degree preferred or 2-year technical degree. 1+ year of experience in veterinary medicine.
